Welcome to Our House!

Week 24th – 25th

Hi girls and boys!

We had two lessons last week and we made a house!

We have a picture of a house. There are three floors in the house.
On the ground floor we have the dining room and the kitchen. On the second floor we have the living room and on the third floor we have a bedroom and the bathroom.

But there is a problem. There isn’t furniture in the house!
And that was our job, decorating the house by sticking pieces of furniture.

Angela’s house is a crazy house! There’s a toilet in the living room!
And there is a TV in the bathroom!

These are the rooms in the house:

 ·            Where do you cook? I cook in the kitchen.
 ·            Where do you have lunch? I have lunch in the dining room.
 ·            Where do you watch TV? I watch TV in the living room.
 ·            Where do you sleep? I sleep in the bedroom.
 ·            Where do you have a bath? I have a bath in the bathroom.

This is the furniture:

Where is the fridge? In the kitchen.
Where is the sofa? In the living room.
Where is the table? In the dining room.
Where is the bed? In the bedroom.
Where is the bath? In the bathroom.

When we had the furniture, we invited our friends to visit.

This is the bedroom. Shhhh ! Lucía is sleeping.
This is the bathroom. Raúl is having a shower.
This is the dining room. Eva and David are having breakfast.
This is the kitchen. Sara is cooking.
This is the living room. Ángela and César are watching TV.

We acted out the story of the ball, the dog and the sausages!
We played “Simon Says”, “guess the room” and “write the numbers”.
And Sara and David played numbers really well! We counted up to 123!

Class Friday 17th

Oooh! Oooh! There’s a virus in the class today!

Eva says, “I have a headache” and Ángela doesn’t feel very well.
I hope you rest on Saturday and start the week well.

In our lesson today, we finished talking about the Simpson’s family.

Why does everybody want to role-play Maggie? She is a baby and doesn’t speak!

We are Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Those are our parents.
I am Marge and those are my children.
This is Maggie. Bart is her brother.
We are Homer and Marge. Bart, Lisa and Maggie are our children.

We practised possessives (my, your, his, her, our) and remembered family words.

Father – mother   brother – sister   grandpa – granny   husband – wife
Son – daughter   uncle – auntie

·         Can you tell me who your father is?
·         Who is your mother?
·         Who is your sister?
·         Who is your brother?
·         Tell me the name of one of your aunts.
·         Tell me the name of one of your uncles.

We continued practising this, that, these, those.

·         Those are my sausages.
·         These are our bikes.
·         This is their dog.
·         That is her hat.

Back to Class!

Happy New Year!

In our first class of the year:

You told me about  your Christmas.

Raúl was very happy.
Eva was a little sad.
Ángela and Sara had lots of presents!
David got “Zombie city”.
César and Lucía were very good last year and they had lots of presents, too.

We role-played the Simpson’s family.
(possessive adjectives)

I’m Bart Simpson. Homer is my father.
Lisa and Maggie are my sisters.
Marge is my mother.

She is Lisa. Marge is her mother.
Homer is her father.
Bart is her brother.
Maggie is her sister.
This is Homer. Bart is his son.
Maggie and Lisa are his daughters.

We played: What’s this? What’s that?

What’s this? It’s a door.
What’s that? It’s a window.
What’s this? It’s a pen.
What’s that? It’s a pencil case.

We counted up to 100!

Can you count in “tens”? 10-20-30-40-50-60-70-80-90 and… a hundred!
Can you countdown in “tens”? 100- 90-80-70-60-50-40-30-20-10 and…Zero!

And we played bingo!

On Friday, we’ll learn to write the “ten” numbers .
